Suppo ("we", "our", or "the app") is a supplement tracking application that helps you manage your daily supplement intake. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Account Information

• Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
• Display name — used to personalize your experience
• Password — stored securely using industry-standard hashing (never in plain text)

Supplement Data

• Supplement names, brands, descriptions, dosage information, and ingredients
• Inventory quantities and low-stock thresholds
• Time groups and schedules
• Consumption logs (what you took and when)

Photos

• Photos you take or select of supplement bottles are sent to our AI recognition service for analysis
• Photos may be stored temporarily in our cloud storage to facilitate the recognition process
• We do not access your photo library or camera without your explicit permission

Device Information

• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or analytics data
• Local notification preferences are stored on your device only

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service — track your supplements, schedules, and intake history
• AI recognition — analyze supplement photos to pre-fill product information
• Sync your data — keep your data synchronized across devices via our cloud backend
• Send notifications — deliver local reminders you have configured (no push marketing)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in two locations:

• Locally on your device — in an encrypted SQLite database for offline access
• In the cloud — on Supabase (hosted on AWS) for cross-device sync and backup

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure password hashing, and row-level security policies on our database.

5. AI Photo Recognition

When you use the photo recognition feature, your supplement photos are processed by a third-party AI service (such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or Google Gemini) to extract product information.

• Photos are sent securely via our server-side Edge Function — never directly from your device to the AI provider
• We do not store photos beyond what is needed for the recognition process
• AI providers may process the images according to their own privacy policies

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view all data associated with your account within the app
• Delete your account — permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Account Info > Delete Account
• Use offline — the app works fully offline with data stored only on your device

When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from both your device and our servers. This action cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

Suppo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
